Slow and very long. But definitely worth a watch with all the star power
Surprisingly watchable, but the nearly 3-hour run time hurts it.

Not at all real accurate and tends to drag on too long but the battle is well done
Portentous actioner has almost no historical accuracy. Wayne lionizes Crocket far too much, and Harvey plays Travis as too much of a dandy.
It's good but it's way too long. The film didn't need to be nearly three hours to tell a story that could've ended after an hour and a half.
Less exciting then I thought out would be ...
Great cinematography and a winning Wayne performance are undercut by excessive length of the film as well as the speechifying.
Too long. Too hokey. Almost no historical accuracy.
Decent, but creaky.
