Came for bean paste, left with emotional damage. Turns out red beans have better character development than most people.
naomi kawase is really good at making me love life for at least a few hours before my depression kicks back in
There’s a decent blend of melancholy and kindness running through this story, but tilted a bit too far toward the melancholic.
Tries very hard to be emotional, but for me the emotional moments felt cliché rather than moving. But it's fine, not bad, just fine.
This was so wholesome! I love the movies where the focus is on appreciating the mundane and the seasons of life.
I love how calm someone tell her story
