When their plans for a nature trip go awry, Polly and boyfriend Seth decide to check into a motel. On their way, they're carjacked and kidnapped by low-rent crooks Dennis and Lacey, who take the victims and their SUV to a nearby gas station. Along the way, they encounter an increasingly terrifying horde of parasites, and if any of them intend to survive, they'll have to outsmart the deadly organisms.

In my personal top 5 fav creature designs. Adept FX artists. Grossly brutal, in a fun way. Solid sense of humor & superb characterization.

Gets right into the action. Has a subplot that adds texture without derailing the story. Lots of great shocks. Tense and fun.

Simply an entertaining horror flick. Unique monster, good cast, and tense situations. Could use some better shots of the ‘Splinter’.

Not bad for a low budget B movie. The acting was good at times as well.
