Ricky and his family have been fighting an uphill struggle against debt since the 2008 financial crash. An opportunity to wrestle back some independence appears with a shiny new van and the chance to run a franchise as a self-employed delivery driver. It's hard work, and his wife's job as a carer is no easier. The family unit is strong but when both are pulled in different directions everything comes to breaking point.

An emotive and sadening history about the effects of neoliberalism in the common man everyday life. Enlightening and profound.
A very efficient and emotive portrayal of nowadays jobs. The daily life struggle of working class goes way beyond human decency.
Wonderful drama...! Was Far better than parasite and platform.
Just like I, Daniel Blake, this was a very good, well-acted and effective film, but too depressing that I can only watch it once. 7/10
It was a truly desperate and hurtful experience to watch, yet it's sharp with on-point representation of a warped society.
Depressing look at lower-middle class life, great acting but a rather simple story overall
Extremely, but realistically, bleak. Some scenes over the top, some absolutely beautiful. I had tears down my face at two different points.
The beginning was way to slow, and I didn't like everything about the plot.
Full of stereotypes, slow. Everything that might be going wrong, goes worst, in the most obvious and predictable way.
A great movie that paints the UK how it actually is
