Another classic Allen, great photography, good acting, and pretty fun paranoia
Dull Woody Allen homage to German impressionist films, just not funny or interesting enough to watch more than once
One of my least favorite Woody Allen films, although the cast in this one is absolutely stacked
Pretty great in terms of a satire, but it’s not nearly funny or fun enough to warrant a recommendation
31/2* Woody's film is a mix of Bertolt Brecht and Mel Brooks. Style imitates staged play feel of art films from 1920s Europe. Very 'meta.'
Even though it is not one of the best Woody Allen movies it is still really good
Managed 2 C this round about 10+ years ago, & quite enjoyed it as it has a good deal of actors I like! Mysterious, atmospheric, gothic! 👍🤗
Allen's attempt at German expressionism. A quite interesting attempt indeed.
Allen once again wastes a talented cast trying to be Bergman.
Woody Allen exercise on German expressionism. The outcome is amusing but clamsy
