In 2003, eight Rhode Islanders created a secret apartment inside the Providence Place Mall and lived there for four years, filming everything along the way. Far more than just a wild prank, the secret apartment became a deeply meaningful place for all its inhabitants – a personal expression of defiance against local gentrification, a clubhouse to coordinate artistic charity, and finally, a 750 square foot “F you” to The Man

Artists are hilarious. This would be fun.
This movie is equal parts confounding, frustrating, and beautiful.
The core story is fun and gives heist movie vibes. The rest of the movie is padded with lauding the artist behind it, which grew tiresome.
Pretentious and kinda pointless but I think that’s the point. Art doesn’t have to have a reason, you can just enjoy it on your own terms
Too focused on the artist's passion projects and not enough on the mall living.
Artists living the dream. The footage here is fantastic and the story is inspiring. A document of a life-defining moment in time. RIP Malls
Artsy and heartwarming.
