Early effort from Hitchcock shows him developing his strengths in crafting suspense
One of Hitchcock's most underrated films
Not particularly amazing but it's a very brave film that doesn't hold back. Must have been quite the shock for audiences back then.
The first half is a bit slow, but the second half is tense and thrilling, especially the iconic bus scene and the chilling final moments.
The central sequence is great in an otherwise lackluster movie
The tension of the bus sequence alone . . .
Early Hitchcock shows the development of a man who would become one of the greatest directors of all time. Really shines in the 2nd half.
You see it all coming but its still pretty entertaining to watch this earlier Hitchcock effort
Definitely not the best of Hitchcock. One of his early films.
Classic Hitchcock before the US movies. Was on the edge of my seat the entire 2nd half of the movie
