Being Toho’s first color Kaiju film and premiering just after 1954s Gojira, Rodan is a great inclusion to the genre and Godzilla franchise.
Not as great as Gojira, but Rodan offers all the campy fun I love from the Godzilla sequels.
A different take from some of the other kaiju films. I enjoyed this in a comforting way.
Below average Giant monster movie, effects are entertaining though
I don’t know if any of the old kaiju movies can live up to Godzilla, and this one is a little more campy. But it’s still fairly decent.
One of the more serious-minded of the old Kaiju films.
The charm of Godzilla films is Godzilla himself, remove him and the result is stale.
Absolutely amazing effects and acting, but just not my cup of tea
Classic kaiju cinema. Love the detail that a creature with wings that large would cause immense destruction just by flying over buildings.
More entertaining than Toho’s Godzilla Raids Again. Awesome effects and brought to life beautifully in colour.
