Sandler gives a layered and saddening performance. You feel for Charlie and want the best for him. Cheadle is no slouch either!

Adam Sandler actually did really well in this role which was surprising for me. I recommend watching it.
Grabbed the DVD from the walmart bargain bin on a whim & was very pleasantly surprised to find an earnest film about trauma vs a bad comedy.
I don’t like Adam Sandler at all. This was excellent. Maybe if you’re watching for him you won’t dig this. Opposite effect for me…
Don’t listen to the critics about this movie. Prob the best Adam Sandler movie because of how good his performance was. The story was great.
