Overlong, but has more complexity and literary appeal than most Hollywood fare. Keaton and Beatty are very good. Nicholson steals scenes.
Epic in scope but is way too long and compared to the “epic” genre it is just okay.
Interesting look at what happens when idealism meets harsh reality. Diane Keaton gives one of the most obnoxious performances I've ever seen
A good dramatization of a dark period in history.
An amazing movie about the revolutionary John Reed and the American as well as the Russian socialists.
Amazing story of Jonh Reed in the turmoil of the russian revolution
Epic movie about John Reed, American radical & Russian Revolution. Broad scope, all star cast. Too grandiose to be made in todays Hollywood.
An overwhelmingly intimate drama with two great lead performances but drawn out and repetitive
Grandes actuaciones, gran dirección, grande producción, buena historia
You want Communism shoved down your throat by irritating characters over a 3 hour runtime? Give this film a shot.
