It always amazes me how Sean Baker makes movies& this certainly isn't an exception. The setting, story, use of (untrained) actors: perfect.
Red Rocket asks one tough question: what if a dude was morally reprehensible and really annoying?
One of those movies where you love to hate the protagonist. I was glued to the screen from beginning to end.
My absolute favorite of 2021. Every dynamic of filmmaking that exists is superb in this film. I especially loved the 16mm cinematography.
Amazing movie where you really love to hate the protagonist
Great movie. The mix between failed porn star and small town Texas deplorables makes really good comedy. I think most people would enjoy it.
I don’t know what was more disturbing, the parallels between Rex and his character — or his stellar seizing of the role. Good watch!
A little slow, but still pretty chaotic which I liked. Thought it could be a little more cohesive but was overall really solid(pun intended)
8/10. Every character felt real. Direction/Acting/Dialogue incredible. Felt like it had room for a more meaningful climax though.
This is worth watching because I don’t get the ending and maybe you’ll explain it to me but if your answer is lame I might have to end you.
