I was not giving it too much at first, but it takes his turns in the final act... wow.
Excellent acting and methodical pacing bring to life an uncomfortable, yet gripping narrative. It can only be, Andrea Arnold.
This really stayed with me. I loved the use of the CCTV cameras, very dark and suspenseful.
This movie uses genre expectations to subvert expectations brilliantly. I was genuinely shocked by some of the turns the story takes.
Not as good as "Fish Tank" but a deeply reflective thriller in its own right. Worth a watch.
