A great story about family loyalty and expectation vs finding your own way in the world.
Watched it after hearing it has the same plot as “Ladybird” and yeah, they are crazy similar, if you liked that, give this a shot.
A realistic and unfiltered look at Latin american culture through the eyes of a young woman and her traditional, conservative family.
Embodies a real and raw sense of woman hood and struggle in poverty.
a real film that shows the life of a Latina american. the writing struggles in parts and the story is decent. the message overall is great
Pretty good. Important when released, but has not aged that well.
Watched it for 2nd lvl Spanish class. Pretty solid performances but it doesn’t stand out and I was tested on it so that’s saying something.
