In the prehistoric world, a Cro-Magnon tribe depends on an ever-burning source of fire, which eventually extinguishes. Lacking the knowledge to start a new fire, the tribe sends three warriors on a quest for more. With the tribe's future at stake, the warriors make their way across a treacherous landscape full of hostile tribes and monstrous beasts. On their journey, they encounter Ika, a woman who has the knowledge they seek.

Seen it in history class... really enjoyed the accuracy.

Intriguing film is beautiful at times. But also kind of stupid. The protagonist are too bestial to care about, even raping at one point.

An engaging prehistoric story. Touching, funny & suspenseful. Great character development. Makes you care what happens.

Interesting take on different prehistoric humans; pretty typical story, but maybe that's the point.

Vaguely remember the quest. I do remember Ron Perlman complaining that he froze his butt off during filming.

Saw this in class, Axl Rose lookalike was entertaining none the less. Good makeup and nice acting, not much else

First film I recall seeing. Gave a perspective of early mankind that amazingly stuck 40 years on (though I question the fire premise now).
