Anne, a brilliant and dedicated advocacy lawyer specialising in society’s most vulnerable, children and young adults, lives what appears to be the picture-perfect life with her doctor-husband, Peter, and their twin daughters. When her estranged teenage stepson, Gustav, moves in with them, Anne’s escalating desire leads her down a dangerous rabbit hole which, once exposed, unleashes a sequence of events destined to destroy her world.

This movie is brilliant, & I am so glad it exists. So well written to show the dynamics of how this works; acting, etc., are excellent also.

Danish films hits a unique lvl of darkness. Stimes w/more fragm, stimes w/less.. bt they know how 2 transgress emo boundaries like no1 else.

I rarely walk away mad from a film this movie wanted me to burn down Denmark in a good way

I have a feeling Gustav Lindh has a bright future ahead of him. I really enjoyed the movie, even though some scenes were quite frustrating.

Such a beautifully tragic story that has been portrayed here, with measured cinematography and perfection oozing out of the lead characters!
