Charley Partanna is a hitman who works for the Prizzis, one of the richest crime families in the US. When he sees Irene Walker, it's love at first sight. But he soon finds that she, too, is a killer for hire. Charley can overlook his suspicions, but he can't turn off his heart. And the couple must remember that even if they love each other, the Prizzis love only money.

A comedy without laughs, but with dark twists as the hitman love story pulls no punches. Great acting and a treasure trove of dialogue.
The mafia caricatures and the forced, unfunny accent and direction of Nicholson made this one feel long. In a bad way.
Nicholson and Turner have great chemistry, even if the "Brooklyn" accents are a bit of a choice.
Really funny, very underrated dark comedy.
An underrated dark humor with phenomenal performances with a shocking ending.
Very dark mafia film definitely recommended you won't be disappointed
The soundtrack is simply amazing. The ending wouldn't be allowed in a romantic comedy today and I believe it is what makes it special.
Isn't Huston's best. Walks a line between comedy & crime that didn't work for me.
1 of the more satisfying Nicholson comedies he's achieved in decades! A great watch 4 a third date perhaps, & enjoyed with The Last Detail?
Good acting but kind of a forgettable movie otherwise
