In August of 1949, Life Magazine ran a banner headline that begged the question: "Jackson Pollock: Is he the greatest living painter in the United States?" The film is a look back into the life of an extraordinary man, a man who has fittingly been called "an artist dedicated to concealment, a celebrity who nobody knew." As he struggled with self-doubt, engaging in a lonely tug-of-war between needing to express himself and wanting to shut the world out, Pollock began a downward spiral.

Brilliantly acted and directed by Ed Harris, biographical drama of a great Artist
One of the most prolific and interesting artists of the century, he had a dark side nobody knew about except his close friends. Good watch
Interesting biopic about someone you may not be aware of. Google blue poles by Pollock, Australian national treasure...
This moving is gripping and inspirational. Think what you want about his art, this movie captures the mind and heart of an artist perfectly.
You would think there would be a creative and groundbreaking biopic for this guy. Sadly, no.
Ed Harris is amazing in this amazing biopic
Really deep dive into the artist and expertly portrayed by Ed harris. Simple biopic that is easily digestible
Harris is good as the revolutionary and disturbing Pollock. His wife, played by Harden, adds needed interest
Harris captures the wild, possessed Expressionist artist. Good portrait of 1950s NY art scene. Could have had more depth, though.
Buckle up for a dark look at a troubled artist.
