This is an interesting & entertaining film. It ended abruptly & not fully resolved which left me with a sense of dissatisfaction.
Do not watch for fun. Beyond the BDSM is a stark portrait of why many chase safe pleasures over the risks of love and intimacy. Love hardens
Loved the character arch of Colin. Definitely some complex themes. Puts you through some interesting emotions. I think they did a great job
A funny yet sad film about first love in leather pants, and in a subculture that’s unfamiliar to us. It was interesting.
Like the 50 shades trilogy, this glamorizes psychological abuse and calls it “sexy”. Being a slave isn’t sexy, it’s toxic and damaging. D-
Makes you uncomfortable and qt times frustrated like it is meant to be. Good film
Alexander is eye candy ofc but the plot and film itself isn’t for me.
I don’t know what to make of it. I’m glad it exists; the sex was both realistic and great but I could never be in a relationship like that.
