Okay some scenes in the lab didn't age well and are almost funny. But the atmosphere and Saul Bass's version of the ending are so cool!

Dull, overly cryptic, illogical, palpably cheap, + a scene or 2 of painful noise. Ant lovers might like it...if it wasn't for the ant abuse.

Not too scary to be good horror, neither too smart or interesting to be good sci-fi. Cool photography, editing and vfx but not much else.

Definitely a lost masterpiece with masterful use of closeup photography of ants that counterpoints the 2001-like meditative narrative.

Fun creature-based horror film that proves size doesn’t always matter.

Seen better animals rise against humans horror movies…tries to be The Andromeda Strain but with ants and fails
