Hate musicals, love stories of the Depression. This is phenomenal. Entire cast is wonderful. Not exactly uplifting. A 1 of a kind musical.
This Great Depression musical does indeed make me feel greatly depressed
Bleak and upsetting. Ruined my day. Great film.
I’m not usually into musicals but this is really good. Steve Martin never ceases to amaze. He is so multi talented! He can dance!
It's a lip-syncing dance off movie that's strange but it works. Kind of. Music isn't that memorable, the costumes for them are
Sardonic film about 2 grifters making a living during Depression. Martin is good because his inner sleazeball comes out, not his comedy.
Ebert says it all about this snarky meta jukebox joint better than I could. “Dazzling and disappointing in equal measure.”
Worth seeing if only for Christopher Walken’s show-stealing dance number. Strange little movie. Main character is exhaustingly loathsome.
I'd have 2 C this once more 4 my opinion 2 be changed up, but not a lot of hope here! UK TV never shows it, DVD shops never sell it!
