Although Mary has little income, she still finds ways to spend her nights at clubs. After being arrested for throwing an illegal rave, she asks her aunt Judy for bail money. Judy then finds Mary a job at her library so that Mary can repay her. Initially, Mary finds the job as a clerk boring and stifling, and prefers to get to know a street food vendor whom she likes. However, Mary must refocus her life once she loses her job and apartment.

This film is a snapshot in time of indie films of the mid-90s taking place in NYC.
Tonally inconsistent but if you like Parker Posey you probably won’t care. 1st film to be premiered via the internet. Solid laughs and 90s💯
Really great fashion, but I didn't find any of the main characters particularly likable, and the story was somewhat lacking.
I come away from this movie wondering more than anything else how Parker Posey was never a cast member during this era of SNL
Honestly kinda mad about not having had a crush on Parker Posey way sooner.
I need every single outfit in this movie
Very time and place screwball comedy. No main character is that likeable. Well made and sound mixed. Not for me in the year I'm living in.
Hard to be shrill and dull at the same time.
It was ok. Nothing to write home about. Typical angsty girl gets hit w/ some harsh realities and turns her life around (after several slips)
kinda shallow story line, but so fun and so 90s. Characters are good and music is AMAZING
