Nice quiet little slice of life comedy drama. Newman's last great role. The entire cast is excellent and it's quite a cast.
Comfy movie, but kinda forgettable. Decent performances but the soundtrack can be obnoxious sometimes.
One of Newman’s last roles and he was still so good it didn’t even seem like he was acting.
Listed as a comedy/drama, but really not that comedic nor very heartfelt or heart-wrenching in drama.
31/2 stars Newman is excellent as bitter aging handyman who never resolved family trauma. Lots of inner work make for fascinating character.
Slice of life kind of movie. I liked it. Better than expected.
Paul Newman gives a funny, subtle, and tender performance. If you liked “Grumpy Old Men” you’ll probably like this grumpy old man story.
Newman is way too old for this role, but I would not have anyone else play it. A warm and satisfying tale of relationships and community.
Feels like a "Cool Hand" Luke sequel.Great movie.
Should’ve won the Oscar for this one.
