It’s got all the trappings of cynicism , corruption, bleakness,and despair that make the genre so glorious.

I actually like the new one better in terms of tone and storytelling, but this one is really good as well.

A great film about a clever man on his flight of icarus, playing the overly religious and under-eduacted populous, but is delt his cards.

An excellent noir. With excellent performances and an ending that sticks with you.

Truly a deep cut, but a worthy one. The carny aspect is refreshing for a noir. Disgustingly dark, deliciously sinister and shocking.
