Rose Loomis and her older, gloomier husband, George, are vacationing at a cabin in Niagara Falls, N.Y. The couple befriend Polly and Ray Cutler, who are honeymooning in the area. Polly begins to suspect that something is amiss between Rose and George, and her suspicions grow when she sees Rose in the arms of another man. While Ray initially thinks Polly is overreacting, things between George and Rose soon take a shockingly dark turn.

Good classic thriller. Loved this Marilyn as villain.

Marilyn Monroe is wonderful in this! I think Vertigo took a lot of inspiration from this film.

she is always that attractive, never cedes.

"Rose, oh Rose." This is one of my favorite Marilyn movies as she's an interesting villain.

It's a 6/10 potboiler, elevated by Monroe doing some actual acting, and the whole Technicolor noir of it all.

A rare Technicolor noir. It looks gorgeous and the story is strong. Good watch.

Surprisingly good tale of lust, jealously and the entanglement of relationship.
