Slow pacing will keep many away but News From Home is an hour and a half of absolute loneliness and depression, the distance can be felt.
Some interesting shots, gets a little sad feeling the distance between the family. Gets extremely repetitive and is rather dull.
Nothing else quite like this, even among Akerman’s work. The separation of space, identity, and the concept of home.
The street noise being louder than the narrator is an interesting touch
