The Yamadas are a typical middle class Japanese family in urban Tokyo and this film shows us a variety of episodes of their lives. With tales that range from the humorous to the heartbreaking, we see this family cope with life's little conflicts, problems, and joys in their own way.

While it doesn’t look like a traditional Ghibli film, it has the heart and laughs of one!
It's like a mini-series, with funny and emotional moments. The animation is good and unique, but it's not as good as other Ghibli movies.
A handful of vignettes about a family's everyday life. Some of them are funny, some are wholesome and others are pointless.
I'm neutral toward this. It's a nice movie without anything special. The art style is great.
didn’t expect to like this as much as i did!! very cute and some of the stories (like the dad superhero one) stuck out a lot
Well-made, light-hearted and with some interesting moments but your mileage may vary depending on if you can enjoy a film with no story.
The animation was key here, it's visually stunning and different to most anime. It's minimalist and simple yet captures emotion perfectly.
This movie is like small capsules of tenderness and humor. Also, beautiful animation.
Not Studio Ghibli’s best, but still charming and beautifully drawn of course.
Like reading a chill Sunday comic strip, but it lowkey makes you cry.
