Excellent dramedy about the events leading up to an Indian wedding, focus is more on the bride’s family, funny & emotional in equal measure
A vibrant celebration of love and chaos. Mira Nair's masterpiece weaves cultural richness into a joyous, heartfelt narrative.
This film taught me more about family than Fast and Furious.
i enjoyed the growth of the characters and it had a pretty good story
Once you get the characters straight it manages to tell a captivating story that feels both universal and very culturally specific.
I cared about some plot lines more than others, but it made for an overall fun, yet real look at modern India.
Highlights some actual social and economical issues in India and then tries to make it all happy and fluffy. Didn’t work for me.
This film brings light to a sickening problem in India while also being uplifting. Two thumbs way up.
Good date night movie. Quirky characters and funny enough to hold your attention. b+ movie
Alternately heartwarming and heartbreaking. An effective, vulnerable film about family and forgiveness.
