A fine adaption.I liked the book when I was little,and I got realy excited when I realized there's a movie & it was surprisingly satisfying.
Cute family story about... converting to Euros. Good child performances, engaging plot. Watch with family. at times surprisingly dark, tho.
Sporadic bouts of inspired filmmaking mashed between hard to watch, trite hallmark movie-of-the-week vibes. Hard to recommend.
It just was very bland and forgettable. It’s tone is also very confusing at times. I might need a rewatch but I remember not being impressed

Danny Boyle’s signature style works surprisingly well for this good-hearted kids film full of great performances and enough heart for all.
I actually believe it’s an underrated movie, plot is a little boring. But that’s the only negative thing I can’t think of. Story is great.
