It's .... umm... slow. I think it might be a movie you think about for a while after, looking for themes or msgs that weren't in your face.
Gets good in the last 20 minutes. It gives off “recently graduated from film school” vibes.
A simple, conversational movie that runs like a play. Little vignettes keep it lively, but mostly it’s just charmingly prosaic.
Didn’t hate it, but I didn’t buy a minute of it. It’s so earnest that it comes off as unbelievable. It’s really insufferable.
My Dinner with Assholes is like those "brutally honest" people who think they are delivering hard truths, but actually just lack decency.
The film makes you feel like you're a part of the conversation, connecting with the people involved and thinking about deep subjects at 2 am
