An interesting view of the last days of the opera singer, and the demons she has to carry on.

I love films like this where it feels like you spend so much time with the person. I found it thought provoking

Maria is played masterfully by Jolie. Larrain puts us in her world and, though off putting at first, it becomes beautiful and quite moving.

Angelina Jolie is excellent here but I found this to be a total drag otherwise. I wish I could care about opera.

Biography type films are difficult to enjoy and this one is no exception. Angelina and the scenery are gorgeous, but the rest falls short
