I’m a sucker for an Austen romance, even a tame one like this
What I watch when I'm down. I love the vulnerability of the protagonist and the redemption of bad situations through safe relationships
The story was good. But I felt that the important scenes were kinda rushed on.
A bit darker theme than other jane austen adaptations but still cute!
This was surprisingly dark for Austen but I really enjoyed it.
Not the best austen, maybe the worst, but even the worst austen makes a good film.

This movie is for people who really like period dramas. Casual viewers will probably find it boring.
Different then any other Austen movie but still pretty good. I did watch it in three separate sittings cause I would get a little bored
It’s well-cast and the story is slight enough to not warrant a longer version. Austen purists may broil at some inserted slavery themes.
