Perhaps not quite up to Cronenberg’s usual standards, but an engaging psychological drama nonetheless
Based on the Broadway play, the play is better. Based on true story about sexually naive diplomat (to say the least).
Interesting subject, but not so good filming.
Do you like Jeremy Irons, Madame Buttefly and Cronenberg? Watch this.
Reasonably well-made, but I watched this after reading the play in class - I'd definitely recommend that over this...
What of a waste of a movie, idea and time.
