Great storytelling with so many cross-currents.

The ultimate Texas noir. Kris Kristofferson is a real shit in this and the ending is the best "whoops, oh well" in cinema history.

Very good western thriller, some great performances too worth seeing

As western-noir with good pacing, the transitions to flashbacks are well blocked, but the conclusion is a bit stale.
