Lincoln is an enjoyable look into the ends justifying the means when it comes to one man’s ethic versus an agreed upon structure of order.
An outstanding movie, untypical for its time but especially therefore an important movie about the civil war!
An outstanding portrait of Abraham Lincoln with Daniel Day Lewis outstanding as Lincoln
Incredible performance by Daniel Day Lewis, but not very exciting otherwise.
De-idealizes Lincoln while still giving him credit for his historic accomplishment. DDL is powerful & enthralling even if his dialogue isn’t
Historically, Not entirely accurate. But it was still an enjoyable film and the acting was phenomenal.
This movie shows how great a leader Abraham Lincoln was. Daniel Day - Lewis transforms himself seamlessly into the man who saved the union.
An inspiring portrait of Lincoln and presidential leadership at its best. Daniel Day Lewis has few living equals.
Daniel Day Lewis is phenomenal in this look at Lincoln’s fight for the basic dignity of all Americans.
Other than a few heavy handed moments, it is a serious reflection on pragmatism and morality. Really well acted and mostly good direction.
