Meaningful interpretation of the story that focuses on character study and emotional tension. Two clear sections make for a disjointed film.
Not the best version of the story but the singing is really memorable and lends to the story being so beloved
A wonderful film based on the novel by Victor Hugo, Les Misérables has enough hope to inspire even the most misanthropic viewer.
Really boring and lifeless adaptation of an amazing story. Read the book or watch the 2012 version instead (if you like musicals, that is)
Great story, great actors. Worth watching
This movie was great. It captured the spirit of the book. The sets and costumes were gorgeous. The actors were awesome. It could been short.
Much better than the modern musical. Story is portrayed very well. Geoffrey Rush is simply amazing. If you don't like the musical, try this.
Awesome adaptation of Hugo's novel that offsets any hiccups with engaging dialogue and emotional gravitas. Neeson and Rush are fantastic.
This non-musical is my favorite take on this powerful script
Not a bad movie... it is probably the best of the different Les Misérables films. Uma Thurman and Liam Neeson have great performances.
