Though married to the good-natured, beautiful Thérèse, young husband and father François finds himself falling unquestioningly into an affair with an attractive postal worker. One of Agnès Varda's most provocative films, 'Le bonheur' examines, with a deceptively cheery palette and the spirited strains of Mozart, the ideas of fidelity and happiness in a modern, self-centered world.

Delicate, subtle but highly provocative. A feminist essay about the idealized concept of family and loyalty within relationships.
Fantastic feminist french new wave piece of cinema
An excellent portrayal of marital life in the 60's and a sensible reflection on love and relationship
Didn’t know what to expect, it was good I guess
Search before watching it, you will enjoy it more. Watch it closely, there a lot of symbolisms
Varda creates an excellent contrast of Time between the pleasant exterior and the darkness that lies beneath.
Utterly beautiful, the conflict is very honest and relatable, Varda is just an exceptional writer/director
It was good a good story and it was told well.
Very beautiful and very sad.
