Arguably the first fruit of the French New Wave. A must-see, like so much of Agnes Varda’s work.
Fishermen argue. Couple brood. Cats judge everyone. Plot drifts like a lazy tide. Oddly hypnotic beach philosophy. Agnès Varda wins.
Varda's first movie is worth a watch for anyone who has interest for the French New Wave!
