In line with Sorrentino's style albeit a little bit under expectations
7 out of 10. Arguably FAR more style than substance but I kind of dug it anyway. It’s so hard being hot and smart tbh. Sigh.
It's 100% Sorrentino, you may hate it or love it. Stunning visuals, great dialogues, not much of a plot. C. Della Porta is magnetic 🧲
Perthenope's a film that asks questions on life's meaning, the search for identity, the pain of time and Napoli, but also a magnetic woman
Visuals are extraordinary but narrative is off. Parthenope is supposed to be Napoli or something. Maybe it you are from there you'd get it.
The only thing that saves the film are the last 30 minutes. The figure of Parthenope is really already seen and cringe at times
Film not suitable for people who love controlling outcomes. It's a Voyage in beauty into the poetry of being irreverently Neapolitan.
Lips brush so near your neck. Smoke lingering between your fingers. Glass alive with summer nights. You'll be young until morning at least.
Partially odd but overall beautiful picture
It was a bit boring
