Classic psychological thriller. Fonda's performance is rare and timeless. Electric cast and direction. Haunting score.

The "underbelly" vibe of this movie was offputting and I was confused at times about what was going on. The acting & story make it work.

The character development evolves the plot as it goes on. Twists and interesting angles hold your attention throughout the film. Underrated

Excellent cast, excellent plot...an unusual movie for its time but a very good one even today.

It’s beautifully shot and acted but it’s really slow and is basically a 2 hour character study. If that’s your thing you’ll enjoy it.

A slow burn, but at the end I was fully invested. Some of that early 70s acting does feel a bit stilted though.
