When his mother eloped with an Italian opera singer, Louis Mazzini was cut off from her aristocratic family. After the family refuses to let her be buried in the family mausoleum, Louis avenges his mother's death by attempting to murder every family member who stands between himself and the family fortune. But when he finds himself torn between his longtime love and the widow of one of his victims, his plans go awry.

Really interesting dark comedy…didn’t really like the abrupt ending

Very British comedy. Guinness plays 8 parts: all heirs to a fortune Guinness needs to kill to receive royal inheritance. Very clever.

Enjoyable old school comedy with the excellent Alec Guiness.

Very fun movie, with an interesting and well thought plot

Waste of a great premise and cast. Extremely slow by today’s film standards

Was expecting much more Guinness based on what I've heard about the film. Random n word use during the end was very confusing and not cool

Loved the premise but this dragged so bad - felt twice as long as it actually was

Deliciously dark and delightfully devilish - Kind Hearts and Coronets is held up as a treasure of Ealing's heyday for a reason.

Alec Guinness times eight! Classic Ealing-esque comedy.
