Absolutely love this movie it’s definitely one of my favorite Sly films of all time, along side demolition man and Clifhanger!
90s cheese but a pretty good story with some decent action. Not Stallone's best.
He isn’t actually Judge Dredd for much of this movie. Mostly wearing a tank top in prison as regular ol’ Sly.
It feels like a comic book and holds host to the over-the-top hammy acting such a film deserves.
A fun classic, not perfect by any means, but you get what you hope for in a stalone comic movie

This is a Stallone film, definitely. Closer to Demolition Man than to Judge Dredd. Not my cup of tea, but if you like 90s cheese...
Cheesy as hell, but extremely fun to watch!
As far as I know this is more true to the comic than the reboot, I really liked it but I also think it didn't aged that well.
Sly Stallone in one of the roles that sunk him. Ridiculously scripted and depressing action. The modern ‘Dredd’ remake is amazing, though.

In 1996, brash L.A. detective John Spartan and maniac killer Simon Phoenix are both sentenced to decades in a cryogenic prison as punishment for a rescue mission gone wrong. When Phoenix escapes 36 years later to wreak havoc on the future, Spartan is awakened to capture his nemesis the old-fashioned way.
