Let’s face it, the first hour is a slog filled with intentionally unlikable characters. You’re here for hell itself, and it DELIVERS.

A slow but interesting start eventually leads into one of my favorite film depictions of hell.

Groundbreaking for Japanese cinema. For being the first real gore movie, there’s not a lot, but for the 60’s it’s pretty intense.

Vintage horror, groundbreaking for its time. A portrayal of afterlife and the torments that wait those who have sinned.

I loved this movie. It's targeted for people who understand cultural buddhism, which I don't fully, but I still thoroughly enjoyed this.

I loved it. Yeah it's weird and no sound but it's worth it

A very cynical take on the world with a surprising amount of gore and horrific imagery to back it up.
