Amazing piece of cinema, would rec watching with people and talk about potato cooking methods
An experimental movie about routine and mundane things. It enhances our senses by being full of solitude and contemplative moments.
A very hypnotic film, watching Jeanne slowly being crushed by her mundane life it’s quite fascinating.
On the surface, not much happens, but the subtext fleshes out Jeanne’s inner life as effectively as a 400 page novel. Expert filmmaking.
Unpopular opinion: but I think this film is overrated
Art house at its most annoying. This could be a novel idea, but at 200 minutes it becomes an endurance more than cinematic nourishment.
This is for an extremely, EXTREMELY niche audience. But it’s great.
Undoubtedly captures the feeling of a housewife’s prison, but does so within the first hour. The rest of the runtime is not justified.
I know it’s supposed to be very artistic and physical and moving, sorry but it’s very very slow, and didn’t gave me a kick in my stomach
Slow cinema. Drama in the little things. Makes you wonder and think. Beautiful cinematography and sound.
