One of the most beautiful films i've ever seen. It's so tragic and provocative and absorbing. Taboos are broken. It's really pleasureable.
The use of colour is spectacular and removes from the obscenity of the sexual acts. There's a beautiful poetry on show.
It’s highbrow porn wrapped in silk. It thinks it’s being poetic with the incessant sex scenes, but it feels more like an endurance test.
An erotic tale of obsession. Matsuda is unrelentingly entrancing. Basically a world class porn. Kid scene is unnecessary.
Pure eroticism. It explores the intoxicating spell of sexual attraction through an obsessive love story. Expect to be aroused.
First you think it's about sex, but then you realize you're watching the greatest movie about 1-upping someone you've ever seen.
Quite possibly one of the most over the top sensual movies ever made. Not sure if it’s very good, but it’s worth a watch
Teeters too much on the line of porn and art house. Well made, but a bit much even for its own message
Quite sexually explicit but nonetheless an incredible film about love and sex, the crossovers and the differences, and norms and taboos.
Despite its reputation, it is quite a boring movie.
