Its a very cool western. Good acting, good settings, good writing! But the terrible ending brings it down. Very cool stage-coach!
Intelligent Leonard adaptation is peak Newman. A taciturn Newman makes a great reluctant hero. Gives Native Americans due respect.
It’s a decent western with a reliably solid performance from Paul Newman, but it’s pacing is inconsistent and direction is absent altogether
