Iconic and an interesting adaptation for study, but not one to rewatch a bunch of times
It’s a pretty good adaptation. I maybe wish the other characters besides Hamlet had more personality though.
Excellent costume, direction, cinematography & interpretation that is close to original. Huge sets feel like walking in MC Escher painting.
Intelligently abridged, Olivier is phenomenal.
All the actors bring life into one of the most tragic stories ever told.

Great performances and some nice imagery and atmosphere, but like many Shakespeare adaptations, it gets tedious in its faithfulness.
Idk I hated it. Imo it's the worst film adaptation of Hamlet. The acting was bad and cringe. Watch Kenneth Branagh's version, it's the best.
I get the cultural impact Shakespeare has but man.... i cannot get into them and this movie was just not for me
