This film can only be described with oxymorons. Absolutely brilliant. Funny but dry. Dark but goofy. Simple but deep.
Great lighthearted film that deftly mixes romcom elements with burst of action, kind of in the vein of Heathers
Cusack “kills” it. The plot is fun and the dialogue is quick. B+
Pulls off the rarely seen rom-com/contract thriller blend. The charm of both Cusacks is what makes it work.

Probably my favorite movie, a dark comedy about a Hit-man that comes back to his home town for his high-school Reunion. This is a must watch

Wanted this to be better than it was. Comedy, action, romance, are all there. It’s fun to watch. With cast and premise was hoping for more.

Chili Palmer is a Miami mobster who gets sent to L.A. to collect a bad debt from Harry Zimm, a Hollywood producer who specializes in cheesy horror films. When Chili meets Harry's leading lady, the romantic sparks fly. After pitching his own life story as a movie idea, Chili learns that being a mobster and being a Hollywood producer really aren't all that different.
