Grand Hotel

Among early films that don’t get mentioned much anymore, I like this one a lot. Sentimental and touching; captures the era well.

While the stars in this are many, it moves at a glaciers pace and has like no stakes or memorable moments

Hollywood at its most primitively magical with subtle, moving performances from the Barrymore Bros and Joan Crawford.
