The disgusting racism was hard to watch, Scarlet was insufferable, but unexpectedly good movie that was painfully accurate of that time
A timeless film with a few dated perceptions.
Engaging story, enthralling scale. The time flies. Of course, full of some evil ideology. But as a film, it’s really incredible.
In my top 3 movies. Vivien Leigh plays an amazing lead. You can feel the despair of the south as they witness everything they know crumble.
An epic technicolor drama told from the rose-colored view of the Old South. And just like the Old South, Scarlet is simply chasing the wind.

Like w/Breakfast@Tiffanys, understanding historical cultural context is key. Beyond that, what a masterpiece. Especially Plunketts costumes!
Not much to say. It’s a classic for a reason. Worth a watch.
A 4-hour long but entertaining epic though I hated Scarlett. Last hour felt contrived, but I admired the ending. Unsettling, but realistic.
