The symbolic dream sequence is hilarious & shockingly risqué for the 50s , so technically bad it’s a masterpiece - loved it
Kind of Avant-garde, considering it's a topic being discussed nowadays.
You have to give the film credit for trying to promote understanding of trans people in the 1950s, but the final product is utterly weird.
It’s not fully bad or boring, but it would be much more enjoyable with the MST3K crew or some friends, surprisingly progressive for its time
My introduction to Ed Wood. I had no idea a movie like this existed from this time.
While often politically incorrect and/or incredibly strange, It is unique & ahead of its time. Good or bad, it’s none-the-less entertaining.
A film so unique it is only rivalled by the director's 'Plan Nine from Outer Space.'
It's Ed Wood. Delightfully bad. Has some good ideas.
"Pull the string! Pull the string!" Didn't make sense? Neither does this film. Ed Wood's most boring output.
Entertaining.
